Any Canadian applying to UK?

Hi, nice to meet everyone

I'm a Canadian from Alberta, and applied after grade 12, and did one year of uni.. I got accepted into Southampton, Leicester, and East Anglia, but ended up picking leicester at the end, so will hopefully be there this september...

They're not too intense on the ukcat, but give you points according to your score, so it's definitely worth doing well on it... I prepped for it by doing as many timed practice exams I could find on the website, and practiced working under pressure

lol, and btw, AR totally screwed me over too

I am going to be applying for 2011 entry to medicine, 5 yr courses only. I have also completed one year of university..did the universities ask for your first year marks from university and high school marks? I just did my UKCAT this weekend and got 678 average (but got 580 on VR)..what were your marks like and did they look at UKCAT average or individual marks?

Also did you go for interviews?? I am thinking of applying to Southampton and Leicester aswell.

@jtoor... u might not want to apply to leicester because I contacted them and they told me that I should complete my BSc and then apply I am in the same situation as you...in my second year doing biochem.

I called Leicester and emailed them, they said that they take students who have completed high school Grade 12. I am applying to Med A100 the 5 yr course. I'm in my second year studying Bio Math at McMaster.

Oh..I guess they gave me completely different answer to what they told you. :S Now I am confused as to whether I should apply there or not.
BTW for UCAS application are you also putting in McMaster under the add college/school/center for education or just your high school that you went to?

I am putting McMaster and my high school stuff on my UCAS.

I applied to Leicester while completing Gr. 12 and got an offer, so they do accept high school leavers.
