postgraduation training
Hello all,
I am a foreigner and i am interested in postgraduation training in ireland. I checked the irish medical council website and i suppose i can apply for full registration...but i wanted to ask what exaclty comes next? where can i find a place to get trained as a GP? this is the specialty i am mostly interested..please,any info would be really appreciated since i have no idea how the irish medical system works...

hmm....it depends on where you re from....are you from the EU?
come 2008 it ll be even easier for EU applicants and locals to gain places for p.g ... thats what prof powderlee of ucd said at the uni. consortium talk in sg.

hello again,
I am an eu member..i just have no idea where should i apply for a training GP place...directly to the hospitals? or somewhere else? i have no clue how the irish system works after the registration part is over....

mairra. you might want to check up the NHS website for news on applying. I'm sure there will be a section on Ireland (I know there is one for Scotland).
i hope you are successfull and meet the requirements to apply.

i am currently studying medicine in Sweden, i am a foreigner,iam not 4rm the EU, i want to know what are my chances for applying pg in Ireland.
r their an exception in my case since i am studying in the EU university?
