Sorry I forgot to mention about the mature and access students; all the time I was comparing int students with the normal 'science' home applicants. Anyway,- All the statistics and facts apart, getting into a medicine course is tough for everyone (for some it might be less tougher than others, but nevertheless it is still tough for every1) and in EVERY country. In that way I think applicants for engineering/chemistry/law are luckier than us as the requirements for these courses are lower than that of medicine and so are the number of applicants for these courses (i am talking about what I have seen in most countries). But thinking about a career which is exciting and equally challenging and more relishing than other careers (yes im talkin about medicine) makes all these hardships of getting into a medical skool bearable!
