    ICL GEM with PhD

Hi, I 've been on this forum for a while now and have sat the Gamsat more than once to try and get into medschool. I scored just below the cutoff this for sgul and notts. I'm currently on a PhD course at a top research uni in London and before I finish I intend to apply again for a place. I have previously only put three choices on my ucas application as my first degree limits me to those that only consider the Gamsat. However, if I should be successful in gaining my PhD I will have more options in terms of unis, and I was hoping that ICL would one of them. My question is that I would love to know whether anyone with a 2:2 plus a PhD has managed to gained entry without the standard 2:1 or is it preferable to have a 2:1 as well as a doctoral degree?

If you have a PhD then both imperial and warwick will consider you for the GEP course even with your previous 2:2. They will give you a conditional offer and you would have had to have completed the PhD by the time the course starts.

Both these unis require candidates to take the ukcat exam and obviously you need to pass this in order to be invited for an interview.
