Don't buy or read anything. No one I know did, the lectures are done from a low starting point (as everyone has different school qualifications), so pre-reading will confer no advantage at all.
The textbooks are expensive and there are far too many in use on the course for any single one to be worth buying- the only one worth buying is Gray's Anatomy as it is a good reference throughout your course.
And go to your lectures, as they are now compulsory, miss three random checks in a term and you're up a certain creek without a paddle.
