Worth sticking in London for?

My application for medical universities is happening sort of now-ish. And I'm pretty happy with my choices of Edinburgh, Nottingham, Bristol, but obviously I need a fourth slot as to where to apply. My plan all along had been to get out of London as I've lived there all my life and I was hoping to come back and maybe work (as a doctor - fingers crossed) here in the future - and I didn't want to end up never having left the place.
Two questions:
Will going to university outside London (especially e.g. Edinburgh!) make it harder to return to work here in the long-term (and should I even be thinking that far ahead at this stage...)?
also
Is Imperial (or other London Universities) worth the con of having to stay in London, when really I'd like to get out go somewhere else in the UK.
My alternative fourth slot looks likely to be Southampton.
Thanks for everyones help in advance!

if you don't want to stay in London, don't apply there - you'll have to live here another 6 odd years

Southampton is seeriously competitive.. are you sure you can make your ps really stand out?

Imperial - you have to take BMAT, so if you don't particularly fancy staying in london i'd stay well out of it. and its 6 years to most other places 5.
