I have answered your question already. If you still have difficulties understanding you can always come in and speak to us and we can arrange a meeting with you at the ICSM student union.

I was just confused as to why the Imperial Islamic society is listed as an affiliate of the Muslim Council of Britain:

MCB

Well like I said, and if you would pay more attention to the replies and engage yourself a bit more before hurrying to reply - We are completely separate from the Imperial College Islamic Society.

If you did come from Imperial College, which I find difficult to believe, you would know that it operates a separate medics student Union that is separate from the umbrella ICU. We operate as the Muslim Medics under ICSM. We are therefore not IC Islamic Society and are not affiliated to the MCB.

I am glad you clarified all these things.

I note that in your constitution it says that you want to promote "dialogue" with other societies but in particular Islamic Society of Imperial.

Also the chairmen of your society is listed as Aqeel Iqbal, as search of google reveals this page:

Contact us - Muslim Doctors Association London

There is an Aqeel Iqbal listed as their vice president. He is also listed as a medical student at Imperial College. Is this the same guy? If so this how is this compatible with your statement regarding no outside organizations?

Now that you have decided to take some initiative and have tried to get your facts straight, it appears that you are still confused. I suggest you stop hastily jumping about.

number 1, we aim "to to encourage dialogue between different societies, particularly the main Islamic society at Imperial College". How does this relate to anything in this subject. I have already told you we are not working with other groups on this course

number 2 The name you have provided is incorrect

number 3 Adeel Iqbal is no longer the chairman. Your reference is 2 years old

number 4 irrespective of him being part of the MDA this does not imply Muslim Medics is part of or by default in collaboration with them in any way.

So no one from the MDA will be present at your event?

We have chosen people from many avenues and respected doctors who may be part of several committees to give keynote speaches, advice and interviews for the potmeds that attend. These include people from within the faculty and other to include MDA if they so happen to be a part of.

We have had Professor John Laycock, Senior Admissions Tutor, hosting our Young Scientist Symposium in 2006.

Potmed last year we had Dr Zul Mirza, A&E consultant in West Middlesex Hospital delivering the keynote speach.

This year we are aiming to have a senior surgical consultant from St Mary's Hospital London to deliver our keynote lecture.
