I am not antagonising as you put it. Its a serious question.

I went to Imperial. I know that there Islamic society was infiltrated by various groups that were not great. The include people like YM, HT and wahabis. Indeed one of the leaders of Imperial Islamic society is currently in prison awaiting extradition to America on terrorism charges.

So the question needs to be asked what are the motives of this heavily subsidised course?

I hope that doesn't offend you.

O I didn't know that. But it is just one person? The only event i went to by the muslim medics cost like a pound and though it was run by them there were other medics there that weren't muslim. So are you saying all those people are involved not knowing where exactly the money that's made is going?

Its ok, I'm not offended- I'm not Muslim or at Imperial [yet].

The guy in question was called Barbar Ahmed.

Whilst, as far as I am aware, he is the only one who has been arrested for terrorism, if you look at the groups involved they do not have a nice pedigree:

Young muslims - linked to Muslim brotherhood of Egypt, an illegal group.

Hizb u Tahrir - advocated worldwide revolution and establishment of a islamic facist superstate.

Wahabis - The worlds most wanted man is one.

I suggest you read:

The Islamist: Why I Joined Radical Islam in Britain, What I Saw Inside and Why I Left by Ed Husain

I am not sure what it is like now, but at our freshers week the college had to be on lockdown, because of muslim groups who used to come down and cause fights.

I am not suggesting anything, but I think they should come clean if they are involved with any of these groups, or are receiving any subsidies.

We are a separate soceity under a separate union completely. The Islamic Society operates under the Imperial College Union whereas we work with the ICSM.

If you would like to register for the course, please message me and I shall forward you the details.

Thank you

and no we are not working with other groups on this course.

So you can confirm that YM or members of YM have no part to play in this course?

A simple yes or no would be great. Or can you not give that?

You may be a separate society, but you have always been, but that did not mean that Young Muslims was not involved in the past. Many of the events run like this in the past were for the purposes of preaching.

That is great. I am glad that there will be no members of Young Muslims or any other political Islamic group at your event. I am sure people will be reassured that no other organization other than the muslim ICSM group will be involved, and none of the teachers on the course will be affiliates to them.

I hope what i have said above is true?
