do they give you an option of moving in wif someone you do know?

i would imagine that very few of the uni alls dubble rooms are allocated yet.
if you could suggest they allocate you and your buddy a dubble then you are in wif a fighting chance of keeping costs down for year 1.

.. and new experiences :P

From FAQs

Can I share a room with a friend?

No, it is not possible to arrange this. Wardens mix residents to help you to form new friendships.

the halls have "guest rooms" if you want to "entertain" in private, or you could just be open minded =) anyway im sure most roomates would be understanding and take one for the team and b***er off. or you could entertain in some slightly more public areas, its fun.

the under 18's rule i htink refers to people starting uni earlier than 18 not being paired with those of us who have gone through a full school education.

what does it mean when you have to give a preference of room type or price band because how will they know what kind of room you want or what price you what if all your choices have different prices or room types ?

thats annoying me too! i hope it doesnt mean that if u put u want a single room preference ul get a rele expensiv price band. or if u put u want a cheap price band u get a triple room! AND we have to wait til august/ september to find out where were living. itl probs b rele good tho when we get there

im sure that is the reason.. i can think of better ways of making friends than being forced to share a room!
