What are you to judge my depth of reasoning, diplomacy or whatever? No uni can match places like Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, etc and the like. I am sorry for telling the truth. You are the one not accepting reality and trying to make your schools equal to elite places so you feel smarter.

Here you go underestimating us again. Not just anyone can enter such places.

How interesting! So you're someone inadeqate and not so intelligent but made it to a uni better than Oxbridge? You're now deliberately downgrading top institutions, cuz then anyone could enter it. What mysterious uni of yours thats so good be?

You're the one failing to see your own baseless judgement and not having a clue. You are just trying to feel smart by making your uni seem "better" than places like Ox, Cam, Imp, UCL, etc which will never be the case.

Well for someone living in a world of illusion deluding himself of thinking that his mysterious uni so so much better than the real elite ones, I guess it would.

Are you doing medicine at Oxford Pammy?

I will do in September! Almost embarrassed to admit that now, after following this thread :-)
All I know is that I've never met anyone, from any university, who wasn't able to teach me a few things I didn't know before...including the students who I'm teaching myself...And I fully expect this to be the case when I start work in a few years!

sorri you feel that way, macca, but you only feel that way becos way back you misinterpreted what i wrote, you know. i'm not sure where you get me being condescending when you misinterpret what i wrote afore you replied....dont get that.
just to reiterate, employers are all different peeple, and see employees differently, there is no majority feeling for ucl and oxford. thats a concoction of peeple like oxocube 1, and a very simple minded one too.
there are simply different skills to match criteria needed. to flesh that out a bit - an employer would be a fool to pick all oxford in their department when they actually need a skill mix to match each job in that ospital. picking all from one uni instead of the best fit candidates regardless of where they re from, is the key to successful patient treatment. accepting candidates NOT on that basis can at its worst put patients at risk.
if you ever 'ave the mischance to work in a department where ALL the medical staff are from oxford, then you should LEAVE pretty soon, becos selection meffods like that lead to failure. and failure in medicine means loss of limbs and life.

Oh dear oh dear. You started with a reasonable argument that i even (SHOCK!! HORROR!!) agreed with some of.... and now it looks like the three-ish people who dared to question your diplomacy and communication skills were right.
You basically just said "I'm at Oxford, i'm better than you, you're crap, by default, doesn't matter what the truth is cos i'm the elite winner".
You know why people sometimes hate people who go to Oxbridge?
Because they spout utter bullshite like that.
If you really do think you're somehow magically a better and superior person - which is how you argue - then i pity your dealings with others. If you're just pissing around, it's highly amusing and brightening up my day
