Open Evening for Graduate Entry Medicine 2009 Entry - 1st May 2008
If you hold a good first degree in one of the biological sciences and are considering a career in Medicine, why not come along to the open evening for our Graduate Entry MBBS Programme and see what we can offer you at Imperial?
This event will take place on Thursday 1st May 2008, 17.30 - 19.30 in the G16 Lecture Theatre, Sir Alexander Fleming Building, South Kensington Campus.
Our four-year course completes your previous education in the biological sciences underpinning medicine, and provides the training in clinical skills required for medical practice. Evidence-based medicine is a fundamental component of our MBBS programme, as is direct contact with patients and health-care teams. Your training will provide you with the necessary understanding of health and disease and the diagnostic skills to enable you to respond to the ever-changing nature of clinical practice throughout your career.
This course aspires to train the clinical scientists of the future. As with the six-year undergraduate course, the graduate course retains some elements of traditional medical courses but also integrates clinical experience with the development of knowledge right from the start.
During the open evening you will be able to find out more about how to apply to study here, see a demonstration interview; gain an understanding of the structure of the Graduate Entry MBBS Programme, how it is taught and to find out from our current Medical students what it is really like to be at Imperial College London.
There will also be opportunities for you to ask questions of both our academic staff and current students.
If you would like to attend the open evening, please visit our website to register online.
We will be accepting registrations until Monday 28th April 2008 and will normally be able to send you written confirmation of your place, along with directions to the venue within 48 hours of your application.
