Interview Hall of Horrors

Now that the interviews are well underway, I thought it was time we started sharing our horror stories (if there are any) !

Maybe that way some of the pressure will be eased a bit - or raised for those who have yet to interview! ^^

I'll go first...

OK, so it goes something like this:

Interviewer: Did you enjoy the tour? (they ask everyone this...?)

Me: Yeah, I'd been on one before but I noticed new things seconds time round.

Interviewer: Oh yeah, like what?

(at this point my mind goes blank - I remember thinking 'I didn't notice that first time round' but not what about)

Me: Erm... well...

(and unfortunately the first thing that pops into my head, before I've had a chance to think about it, is: )

Me: The big tower! Errr, yeah... I don't know how I missed it.

I felt a bit silly.

Well, anybody else got a story?

(I hope they don't read this before making a decision!)

You should have said:

"Of course...unless they're poor"

There's a list of 9 things the BMA published a while back, maybe they were asking for that...

Hi guys,
I have an imperial interview in just over a fortnight and am glad to hear your interviews weren't awful!
I was just wondering invisibleforest, what answer do you now think they were asking for in relevance to "So on average, how long do doctors work for?"
Do you think they mean hours? Any help would be appreciated!

i think its about this new EU working time initiative or something. Its reduceing the number of hours doctors can work. Dno off the top of my head anymore how many hours it is but its pretty important.
