yeah it is, and it limits doctors working hours and as a result their pay aswell, which means that we can all expect to earn £20k a year when we graduate as opposed to being able to earn between £20k and £36k approx. doesnt work though because its the same consultants who tell you when to work as it was before so the hours that most junior docs will work will be much the same as before they just wont be paid for doing it. big uproar about it, encouraging graduates to go get jobs in the city etc etc, plus the whole mtas debacle and the removal of free hospital accommodation for junior doctors. not fun.
