Checklist

Hi,

I am writing to find out how many of the people who have received offers for GEP at Imperial satisfied every single one of the checklist requirements. I satisfy some of them but not all. I have offers from geroge's/notts and am interviewing at QM but am now feeling dissapointed about not applying to Imperial. If all of you did satisfy every one of the checklist requirements then that would make me feel better. However if some of you applied anyway and got in not satisfying all the checklist requirements then I might lodge a complaint with imperial asking them to rephrase their entrance requirements.

Cheers

I think they want you to satisfy all the main tick boxes and most of the sub-category ones. At least that's how I understood it. Although I satisfied all the boxes and so had them all ticked so I didn't really look into it too much.

Hope this helps.

I didn't satisfy them all, but you didn't have to satisfy them all - just a certain number from each sub-section.

Of course, no point applying otherwise!

On the Imperial GEP website there is a checklist of entry requirements for your degree to be acceptable for them. I am just trying to establish (despite that it says you MUST fulfill all of them) whether someone/more than one person got in without fulfilling all the major checklist requirements.

They seemed pretty strict about the checklist - you had to bring a copy to your interview, signed and stamped by a professor or tutor from your old university...

Yeah, but it wasnt anywhere near comprehensive...they just want to know that you have a basis in some areas so that you wont be swamped by the accelerated nature of the course. I just got an offer and I only fulfilled the minimal requirements (4 boxes out of the 8-12 total) with respect to physiological section, since my course didnt have much systems stuff in it at all.....just means that you will have to put in a lot more work to get up to speed during the first year is all. I imagine most people wont have huge amounts of systems physiology anyway so will be in a similar boat, but perhaps I am wrong???
