    GEP funding for EU residents??

So I am in a crazy situation as I am a Canadian/UK dual citizen who has finished bachelor's in US, and has been effectively resident in France for the last five years. I am wondering if anyone understands how the tuition / housing funding works if you are not international, but at the same time have not been resident in UK for the last three years?? i.e. are there any EU residents who found good ways of funding from EU, or is there some sort of UK fund one can apply to??
Are there good options or am I screwed into studentloandom forever?
    Thanks

I am confused. Are you an overseas applicant or a Home/EU applicant?

Actually that has been a subject of debate over the last few weeks. My understanding was that having been resident in EU for the last five years combined with UK citzenship would qualify me for Home/EU status, but it seems to be more complicated.....this question is a little bit of a moot point now! Looks like I am best off applying for French citizenship, which seems silly but will apparently work......funny, I think.....
