I had a similar experience with the interview....one doctor was really agressive and trying to ask awkward questions while the other 2 panel members watched until we got to the academic question. I believe I answered the main portion of the question correctly but didn't get into the hard science part of it really.....and they didn't press me on it at all, until the agressive doctor asked a question about it in the end (relating to immunosuppressants).
It was an odd interview, no questions about why medicine, why imperial, not much from the ucas form except about the job.....can't really tell how it went, I don't think I made any major missteps but it wasn't the best performance....

The interviewers weren't particularly aggressive for me (maybe they will be with the rejection! lol). I got some direct questions define this, or what is that, which I suppose I could see as aggression, but I think by making them laugh once they forgot to be so forthcoming. Any aggression I can think of was largely due to my errors in not reading the question correctly when the paediatrician had raised his voice to stress the question.

Hi, I 've been on this forum for a while now and have sat the Gamsat more than once to try and get into medschool. I scored just below the cutoff this for sgul and notts. I'm currently on a PhD course at a top research uni in London and before I finish I intend to apply again for a place. I have previously only put three choices on my ucas application as my first degree limits me to those that only consider the Gamsat. However, if I should be successful in gaining my PhD I will have more options in terms of unis, and I was hoping that ICL would one of them. My question is that I would love to know whether anyone with a 2:2 plus a PhD has managed to gained entry without the standard 2:1 or is it preferable to have a 2:1 as well as a doctoral degree?
