So, I take it having no A Levels would put me out of the running?
I am predicted a 2.1 (verging a 1st, Im due a chat with my tutor this week so we'll see what shes willing to say!) in Bsc(Hons)Adult Nursing, but I got into Nursing via NMAS, on the basis of my GCSE grades, so I didn't sit any A Levels.Dundee Grad Medic 2008

Hi there,
I went to the open day for the grad entry course last month and it was mentioned that for graduates, the 1st year of the course is tailored to what you know already from your previous degree. Does this mean that what you have to study in the first year will be different from individual to individual?
Thanks v much.

Unfortunately I think without the BBB A-Levels they wouldn't consider the application.

You'll be unlikely to be accepted without A levels.
There will be no preference to students from Imperial over equivalent Universities, but bear in mind that Imperial is currently ranked fourth in the World for biomedicine by the THES, so you're only competing with one other European University (Cambridge).

Hello IC admissions,
My A level grades are ABC (C in chemsitry) - taken in 1996, if that makes a difference. But I do have a PhD in Immunology. Will I be rejected on the basis of my 'low' A level grades?

The prestige of the department within a University will always be taken into account whether that be for postgraduate study, a job, or Imperial College's Graduate Entry medicine course. This will rarely be openly stated, but you'd be naive to assume that a 2.1 from Cambridge is regarded as exactly equal to a 2.1 from a University ranked 100th in the UK.
With a relevant PhD A levels will not be counted.

Phew! My A level chemistry grade won't be coming back to haunt me yet again! It has been a bit of a ball and chain with some unis, even though I use chemistry way above A level every day in the course of my job!
