Hey i'm in the same problem so any helpful reasons why imperial should be chosen over UCL wud be gr8

Basically i was gonna go to UCL cos i have rarely heard anything bad against UCl students where as i have heard a lot of bad press about imperial students (with a lot of arrogant stories!) and Imperial is a "science" uni which means there are no arts students, and right now they make up the majority of my mates!

So i reli dunno what to do cos i know imperial is probably academically above UCl but tbh there cant be that much of a difference and so any other reasons wud be gud thanks

Soz for the rambling

hmmm, sorry, but I have to be frank and say I think you'd be an idiot to choose UCL with no bursary or minimal bursary over Imperial with £4000 a year bursary (about 70% of your costs). Especially considering Imperial is academically rated better, located in a better area, and has an equal or better social scene (for medics). And arrogance really isn't as big a problem as people make out.

If Imperial wasn't offering you £4000, maybe it would be justified to consider ucl, but the way it is why bother even thinking about it? :s lol

Bursaries!

Wow, never heard about bursaries before. I'm in a low income (icome support) and I'll be doing three a levels does that mean I'll get it if I get a place in university. Can someone give me the lowdown on this bursarie thing please. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

if yer get than less than 37k income, then you are entitled to some money, and there are lods of incentives like if yer get 3A's etc. ask yer relevant unis and check out the sites above.

Wow, I can't believe I never knew about this before. I guess I won't have to get a massive loan anymore.
