Home students funding from Year 5

According to the NHS careers website:

"Funding for undergraduate students on standard five-year courses
Students gaining admission to the standard five-year courses will be entitled to receive student loans from the Student Loans Company for their maintenance. From year five onwards, tuition fees will be paid by the Department of Health and students will be eligible to apply for a means-tested NHS bursary, and reduced maintenance loan from the Student Loans Company (equivalent to approximately half the full rate)."

For Imperial, does this mean Year 5 and Year 6 Tuition fees are paid by the NHS ? Also do most students qualify for the bursary and is this bursary depedant on parent income?

Answering my own question:

Found out that Yr5 and Yr6 tuition is funded by the NHS. Maintenance bursary is also granted. Only unknown is whether or not parental income is considered in the equation.

I'm a bit confused here... so does the NHS pay the £3000 tuition fees for yrs 5 and 6 for all medical students, regardless of parental income? And do you receive an NHS bursary on top of your student maintenance loan? How much is the NHS bursary?

does this apply to imperial only? what about ucl?
