IMPERIAL

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone's recieved sum good news about offers etc. I just wanted to know if anyone's had an interview at Imperial recently cos I haven't actually haerd anything from them yet. Have they interviewed loadsa peeps or have they only interivewed a select minority? Also, what are the kind of offers peeps have received? In their prospectus, they say AAB but I've heard that they've been offerin ABB to loadsa peeps. Does ne1 know how true this is? And finally is it true that if they really like u they could give u an unconditional offer or a ridiculous offer like BBD. Has ne1 had an offer like this? Sorry to sound obsessive but I really wanna go to Imperial!!!

I've heard nothing yet either... I emailed the undergraduate admissions officer for the medical school last week, but haven't heard anything from him yet.
Just wondering... did either of you apply for deferred entry? - I thought that might affect the time you hear from them (just a feeble theory ).
Good luck with your applications!!

hey zahra!
My bro's at imperial too! and i'm still waiting to hear from them. I rang them the other day and they told me that they don't interview during January anyway, possible because of the Jan modules that some people do. Anyway, no idea why they've left us in the lurch 4 so long, should be soon now........

Big time congrats Shireen! u legend

hope this helps:
for multiple choice exams u do need 80%
50% for short answer.

I think the above refer to standardised marks. I get the impression that an intelligent person will find them quite easy. With BBD (Imperial?? u sure!?!) i'm sure you'll be great

i'll defo see u in London!!!

My bro is in his second yr and he says its real hard work but i suppose that medicine is hard work anywhere. He says its not how hard the work is - its just how much there is to learn. I dont actually think its that easy to pass because imperial always move the grade boundaries so that sum people inevitably fail cos they always allow a surplus of students in so they have to get rid of some!!! Also, the 50% pass mark is a standardised one, apparently, you have to get about 70% as a raw mark to pass. Although its loadsa hard work my brother's really enjoying it as imperial is after all the best place to be!!!

Congratulations Shireen on your offer! You to Boat. I'm sure that it will click soon about whether you wanna go to imperial or kings. I hope I get in and see you there next yr!

Take care

Zahra

yeah if you do 4 A-levels, Imperial's standard offer is ABBD. that's what i was given last year.
