I too haven't had a peep from them, this girl I know is a medic student already at Kings, she got rejected from imperial without and interview-though she got into UCL/and somewhere far, and she did 4 Alevels-maths, further maths, bio/chem and it kept me pondering if she didn't get an interview, then theres very little hope for me. Well just keeping my fingers crossed for an interview at kings. Gud luck to all

Hello

No, it shouldn't matter as the girl in question is taking Four A-levels. Had she been taking three, then it would have caused some concern.

Indeed, with every med school there is a considerable element of luck involved when it comes to getting interviews... I took five A levels (if you include GS ) and was rejected without interview by two med schools (including Imperial), A levels are not the only thing that gets you noticed.

Mind you I didn't hear anything from Imperial until about February, so there is plenty of time left yet for those who haven't heard.

Hello, just thought I should tell u, dont go to imperial, it sucks.

I have medic friends there and they complain about loads of stuff including the fact they sacked loads of really good tutors/lecturers coz they didnt do enough research work. The pass mark is also 80% (for almost all exams) higher than most unis.

Most importantly, it is full of geeks but then again, the medics are the ones who dont have to suffer that, seeing as they hardly are ever on campus, its just the rest of us that have to suffer

On the other hand, it is a red brick uni, just not the best for med....

Forgot to say, if anyone wants to know more about interview Qs etc, I could ask my best mate, shes done loads of interviews this year (apparantly the interviewers consist of one med student and 3 others).

Let me know.

lol, this is confusing  . Yes, S Knights is completely correct but what I meant with regards to her taking four and thus it shouldn't matter, is from what Stranger said about maths and further maths not being accepted as 2 separate A-levels. So my reasoning behind it, was because she took four a-levels, she most probably wasn't rejected due to the manner of subjects that she took, ie. any way you look at it, she's done three fine A-levels e.g. Bio, Chem, Maths OR Bio, chem, Further maths.

Anyway...

ps. I haven't even bothered to look into the Imperial prospectus, but i'm sure it's not THAT bad!! (i think the fact that it's in South Kensington near the Natural History Museum redeems it somewhat )
