How do they know our score?

Hi,

How does Imperial get our BMAT score. I didn't put my BMAT candidate number in my UCAS form (should i have, I couldn't find a space for it). As well as that, when I signed up for BMAT I didn't have a UCAS number yet, so they couldn't get it through that option. (and they haven't contacted me asking for it yet)

The only way is through my name, which seems like an unlikely thing for them to do.

So, should I be worried, or contact someone, or is it like that for everyone, and Imperial will eventually contact me for my details?

Hey adam,

When registering for the BMAT, my school did the admin ie filling out the forms but we were required to tell them which bmat unis we applied to. So, i'd imagine on the online form there's a section asking u which unis need to know ur score or something? According to this info, i think they fax all candidates' scores from ur centre (who have applied to that uni) to them... U dont have to do anything.

However, u might want to check with ur centre or even contact imperial if you're worried!

I dont suppose u know how much weight the bmat carries for imperial considering it's the first year they're looking at it? It didnt go all to well :s

Oh no... when I registered for the BMAT I didn't list Imperial (mainly because at that time I wasn't sure whether I was applying to Imperial since this would involve flying to the UK for interview if I was shortlisted), but the lady at the British Council assured me that it was okay...

I hope (and think) it's more likely that the universities have lists of candidates, and then they request for the BMAT scores of these candidates from UCLES - they can easily get a match using name and birthdate (unlikely two people will have the exact same name and birthdate).

Singapore. Which is a lot further than Spain, plus we aren't treated as "home" students...
