Social medicine seems to be a bit on and off depending on how many students want to take it. I did my BSc in it 2 years ago and it was fantastic - it's the only one where you can do your research abroad (I lived in the Netherlands for 4 months and did my research out there).

although ic are cutting some of the courses, they still have tons of scope. I actually went to LSE to do social anthropology BSc (not intercalated tho') so if there is osmething you really want to do you can fight for it.

By the way, teh whole focus on your CV is slightly problematic as your house job application doesn't include a CV space - you answer like 6 questions about your leadership qualities, team work, etc etc. so do what you want!
