Well done for Oxford (i assume you got the points and are going there!) Im glad that another IBer has been discovered it was just me and jnjcook before! My EE is also tedious but I have to agree with you it is really interesting...I havnt even started thinking about my TOK essay yet but the list of prescripted titles this year arent that good - oh well TOK will be TOK and no matter how hard we try we'll never find that theres actually any substance in it! trying to cut down personal statement but keep getting 'You are 175 characters over' *grrrr*

Thank you (yes I will be there come October)- there's another IBer on the forum, goes by the name of a, and another one called Shines. a and I did our IB this year, Shines the year before us.

No worries about the TOK, just make sure you go through all the criteria because I have a feeling it's where I lost the points on. Word of advice: Get your EE done as soon as you can, because around coursework time things get Extremely Hectic and you'll have to work fairly hard, esp. if you're doing Economics SL (4 portfolios) or English HL (2 World Lits). Rewrite a couple of sentences of your PS if you're having trouble!

thanks for the EE advice will def try to finish it asap. But im not doing Econ SL or English Hl (and by the sounds of things im glad!) Im doing Biology, Chemistry and Maths at HL and English, French and Geography at SL. btw during one moment of insane stress a friend and fello IBer typed some abusive comments relating to the IB into google and discovered a hilarious site consisting of the rantings of self pitying IBers (who at times of intense pressure seem utterly reasonable) I think it was www.ibscrewed.net - makes for v. amusing reading!!

LOL yeah seen that one, ib screwed is quite funny- any IB humour tends to be quite funny, worse still because it's all true!

Maths HL sufferer, I feel your pain lol. Make sure you do as well as possible on your portfolios because the actual exam can be very tricky. At least ours was, anyway! Which level of French are you doing?

thanks for the tip. Maths is definitely the worst subject in terms of workload... tried my best on the portfolio - we've only done one task so far - it wasnt too bad. Im doing standard level french.
