I had one of my interviewers eat his lunch in front of me during the interview! Cheeky get couldn't even wait till for 5 minutes He then proceeded to ask me the most random question of "If it was a rainy November saturday afternoon at imperial, what would you do". Kinda froze but hey, I got an offer

I'm sure you will have written the answer to this question in your ps. So say the samething (well, preferably in different words). It will show consistency and conviction in your aspirations. Why should you try to make up any other reasons...

Thats a brilliant inteview question (one about rainy saturday afternoon in november) as its a disguised way of saying what extra curricular activites will you do whilst here or what will you bring to our medical school outside of the lecture theatre. Many average candidates get caught out and shown up by this question.

rrly??? unless that's a logic peculiar to imperial college, I don't see why I should start to talk about my contribution to the university in answering that question.

Don't get me wrong, I know one has to elaborate on whatever is written in the ps but to me that seems off course... it may look as though you have prepared so much that you are eager /anticipating a question that is not asked.....

Let me explain the logic behind my thinking, the question asked about a rainy saturday afternoon in November.

saturday afternoon= in your own leisure time
November = not near exams time (in any case they dont want you to talk about academic stuff)
rainy (typical) = put in there to limit your choices and possibly throw you off. They will be interested to see what u will make of the situation.

Now from all that you take this questions a great many ways. One plausible explanation is playing football for the med school or university. (hence the extra curricular activity and contribution outside of the lecture theatre)

Absolute misunderstanding... I do apologise. I believed that you refered to the "why do you wanna be a doctor "question

I talked about an art gallery, for a sat p.m in the rain. Great way to spend the time. Followed by one of those Frescato thingies from Costa, and maybe a Panini - the pepperoni one. I think the level of detail into irrelevant events would have astounded them, I don't know why I didn't mention the last bit . No, but the art gallery would be good.

Sorry, this is another one of those posts where I think 'I can contribute here', start writing, realise I can't really, but carry on regardless. I suppose one could ask if there are any other
