I think it's one week but the students wish it was two

We have lectures and stuff in the second week. Mind you, the handbook they sent is not medic specific and we may well be on a different schedule?

Imperial freshers fayre is a week, but the medics is two weeks. if it's like last year, you've only got intro lectures during the first/second week, and drinking events almost every night for these two weeks (usually Reynold's bar and nearby, Charing X). Deffo do the doctor/nurses pub crawl, it's a right laugh!

Mines arrived. So then, what's everyone doing? Might aswell do most of it-it is freshers afterall! I'll be away Wednesday evening so that rules out bands and sports nights.

Mor Gigglez (sp?), I put this here with regard to freshers pack:

You will need costumes, and will consume large volumes of alcohol (if one drinks) and generally have a laff. The passport ides is great and the prices are v.reasonable.

Does eveyone do everything or do most people just do the main events? Are there other hall events and non-medic stuff?

I will now leave for a haircut...again. I arrive (having booked an appointment for 12:45) to be told my appointment is at 14:00... what? So I ask the lady to confirm what time my new appointment is, 'so what time is it now then?', and she keeps giving me the current time... ahh!

hey guys - medics have a 2 week freshers fortnight with their own union and generally miss all the normal unions freshers events - tbh ours are far better anyways

what normally happens if u go to the major stuff and ignore the smaller stuff towards the end of the 2 weeks and just chill with ppl in halls - believe me u will get worn out

there are halls events throughout the yr and union events as well which u r welcome to join

DONT buy any books at all - u do not need to buy any in ure first yr - there is one they keep recommending - essential cell bio - which is pretty obsolete to u after first yr and there are maaaany copies of it in each of the maaaany libraries of imperial; do the smart thing and take it out at the beginning quickly and then u can keep renewing it online
