well, the other musings were all academic really - BMAT scheeemat to me. although i am geekily-interested in medical education in general.

& yes, Oxford 3rd year - wow i feel old. some do go to Cambridge but relatively few. (Cam is more of a net exporter i imagine because the clinical school is much smaller than preclinical, whereas in Ox it's about the same size, so generally seems to be Cam -> Ox or Oxbridge -> London)

& i have no idea just yet (we get the forms Nov & deadline is Jan, methinks). am waiting for an offer i can't refuse.. *optimistic*

Seems to me that you think that just because a uni has introduced the BMAT, it makes it a upper end uni (correct me if i'm wrong, and i probably am).

So because UCL introduced the BMAT before Imperial, does it make it more "upper ended" than Imperial?

Oh and one more general question;

Do Imperial interviews, place alot of emphasis on ur academic ability (as in they give you problems to solve) as oxbridge does?

i think Imperial gives ethics questions for you to discuss with the panel about. But after knowing my BMAT scores, there's little hope for me now to go to my dream uni, Imperial...

Question

Does anyone know how does Imperial use the BMAT score for shortlisting?
