    Student Finance for HYMS

    Evening all

    I was just wandering if you have to wait for campus allocation before you can apply for student finance? Do you have to apply to HYMS or the seperate unis on the student finance england?

    I'm not sure if its right but I used the York University address for the medical building and manually put in all the details about HYMS. Can any current students clarify if thats correct? Or do we need to wait until campus allocation comes through?

    Julia Fletcher told me to put York down but if it changes after allocation, ring student finance and let them know.

    Hey Simon

    You need to wait to find out the campus you have been allocated and then you put either the University of Hull or York. Finance fees are not paid at all to HYMs but the actual university you are attending. I made this mistake and put HYMS York address down manually, and my money was sent to the University of York, when i'm studying at the University of Hull. You should change it now because otherwise you have to go through the whole process again and it's annoying!

    Thanks Nina. I'm paying the tuition fees myself so I have only applied for a maintenance loan (graduate applicant). I contacted Student Finance and theysaid to contact them again when I have been allocated a campus and the system could thn be updated to the correct uni. They said it wouldn't affect the date I should recieve the first payment from them. I knew I would make a hasyh of it somewhere down the line :P.

    According to the HYMS website they have suggested that applicants put either the Hull or York University address until campus allocation comes through. I did this a few weeks ago and my application seems to be going through alright, my parents have sent through their financial information but its now asking for a Sponsor 1 (and 2) PFF1 form as further evidence? Is this the forms that my parents have to fill out or is it an additional requirement. I have tried searching for these forms and can't seem to find any information, does anybody know what they are? The website also says that campus allocation will be coming through in June as apposed to May.

    Any idea what, exactly, student finance tells HYMS about you and your finances? Is it literally 'this student owes this much in tuition fees'? I've got a bit of a difficult/complicated situation and I'd rather that HYMS was not told certain things regarding past finances/family finances etc.

    hello all!

    just a quick question, when applying for student finance as a graduate, which form did you fill in? there are so many different ones which is very confusing! Also I assume you state somewhere in the form that you are applying having already done a degree?
