Accomodation for couples

Does anyone know if there's accommodation for couples at either Hull or York? We're planning on buying a property when I get to HYMS but that may not be for some time after I get there and as he's from the US will have nowhere to live unless it's with me!

It is easy enough to get accommodation for a couple. You can go to the usual student accommodation companies and rent a one or two bedroom property, although a lot of these will require you to live there for a year. Another option is lets for half the year, these can be hard to come by, and it depends on whether or not you are willing to share a place with other students or not.

The other option in the private renting market, again they might want you to be there for a year or so, but there will be furnished flats that are monthly rent based.

How long are you expecting to be in student housing?

I got posted to York so I'm taking halls for a year whilst my fiance tries to find work anywhere in the country (hopefully this country!). Hopefully it'll all work out that we'll be able to find something for both of us when I'm in my 2nd year. Thanks for the advice though.
