anatomy? :S
How is anatomy taught at HYMS? I'm guessing this may be through plenary sessions but is disection/prosections used :S
any help much appreciated

When i was there, and please someone correct me if im wrong because im not 100%, basically anatomy and dissection can be done as part of the ssc (student-selected component) set-up which have to be applied for as part of the course.

In the first two years we learn anatomy in sessions that run most weeks. Basically you're taught in small groups with the use of prosections (there aren't enough cadavers for everyone to dissect) and models.
There is an SSC which gives you the chance to do your own dissecting which is what the poster above has heard about...Emily

Yeah fishie's right. Obviously it's not every week, but the weeks where it's relevant and useful we're in the DR. There's nothing like the smell of formaldehyde to sort you out on a bleary-eyed monday morning...
