I've put HYMS as my insurance. HYMS is good, but not quite as good as Bham in my opinion.

I'm still waiting to hear from Cardiff. I really like the HYMS course though!

Hi guys,
I also got an (unconditional) offer from HYMS. However I also have on from UEA and still waiting for King's therefore I'm not yet quit sure where to go.
Independently, I must say that HYMS seamed a really nice place to go and everybody was very friendly so I shall be a bit sad for it if I chose elsewhere in the end...
What is weighting in your decisions?

I think i'm firming HYMS it just seems to have more positives and less negatives than my other choices! Its definately seemed very friendly. Those people who have firmed it or were thinking of firming it, if you were placed in Hull do you think ou would opt for Taylor Court or Student Houses? Just I have heard last year that people that picked Taylor Court wern't really with any other medics and some said they wished they had picked student houses
Applying to:
HYMS (interviewed 6th January)UNCONDITIONAL OFFER!!
Nottingham (interview 3rd March)REJECTION
St Andrews (interviewed 14th December)UNCONDITIONAL OFFER!!
Lancaster (interviewed 26th November)UNCONDITIONAL OFFER!!

My memory is probably at bit out of date, but I'd definately put houses. They've all been renovated (I think), and they're cheaper. I've only been in Taylor Court once but it seemed a bit cramped. It's also quite loud late at night cos it's one of the main ways out of the uni after bar and nightclub closing time...

Im in a similar position, deciding between HYMS and UEA. Tbh i think there both really nice and rather similar. I think ill be choosing UEA though mainly because its half the distance of driving to Hull/York. Also i would like to keep up as many sports as i can and whilst HYMS still has all those things it will just be easier for me if everything is all on the same campus.

Hi med20,Im in a similar position, deciding between HYMS and UEA. Tbh i think there both really nice and rather similar. So we find ourselves facing the same dilemma! Independently of choosing HYMS or UEA I'll probably be a bit sad about not choosing the other!
For me the up sides of UEA are being closer to London/International Airports and the fact that teaching locations are not so dispersed form each other as HYMS. On the other hand it seems easier to relocate my family to. How to you rate HYMS versus UEA?
