The accommodation is great, I presume everyone has chosen student houses from advice....
The houses are all along 2 parallel roads (apart form a few on the main road) 90% have been refurbed within the last few years (although the non-refurbed ones are cheaper). They are houses of 4-6 people, and you'll be sharing with students from other courses (although they used to put 2 medics minimum in each house - not sure if they still do that or not) You'll have a shared kitchen and bathroom. The cleaners come each week to do the common areas but won't wash up etc - that's your responsibility.
The houses are just off campus, and on a bus route into town.
Some houses have basic equipment in the kitchen such as pans etc, but don't rely on that - I'd suggest some basics of your own though, from asda or wilkinsons - just cheap stuff.

Sounds nice. Do you stay in the houses for the full 5 years or after the 1st year do you have to find your own house?
I can't wait to get the application in and then forget about it for abit. I'm not feeling that confident at the moment due to the GAMSAT exam I sat on Friday. At least Hull don't look at this.
saskia297 - what did you get in your UKCAT? I got 2460 which according to the scoring gives me a 5. I hope that my personal statement will up it abit.

    Hiya,
I didn't have to do UKCAT - they brought it in theyear after I got in.
As for houses, you can stay there for the full 5 years... You can apply to stay in your room or house, or to move in with friends in another university house. SOme people do this, but most have moved onto private houses through one on the many agents in Hull.
There are pros and cons of both.

Good luck with your GAMSAT result, I think I've buried the horrors of that exam day!

    Where else are you applying?

Oh i'm not replying this year- i applied last year. I'm starting at HYMS in Hull on sunday. Well i hope you wont need your 5th choice anyway Let uus know how you get on with it all. It seems strange now not have to worry about all that. But i know how annoying it can be so i hope you have lots of good news!

    Thanks Nina
I can't wait to get my application in and get it all over with.
    Are you a graduate?
Hull seems quite graduate friendly and luckily the UKCAT is not the only thing that they look at. Had my qualifications checked and they are fine so hoping my personal statement will help me loads.
How did you do in your UKCAT? On the scale thing they use I get 5/10
