York open day, July 8th

Is anyone else going to this? I was interviewed at Hull but have been allocated to York, so booked in to go for a look round.

I'm curious mainly as to what the colleges are like.

In one respect, colleges are glorified halls of residence. To look at anyway. However, each college has its own soul and identity and it becomes a real part of your university experience. They each have their own welfare provision and JCRCs, and most of them have their own bars. Plus you get a cool facebook badge/app to put on your profile for all to see.

I don't know how useful it will be to come. Unfortunately I won't be around, have to evacuate our rooms by the 6th so have a great time.

You'll enjoy the campus and wherever you get placed you'll have a great time. All of the colleges are pretty awesome. Get involved with whatever college you have!
