Appplying to Goodricke (or Vanbrugh if you were thinking) is a waste of time! They haven't placed a medic there before. They evenly distribute everyone in:
Alcuin
Derwent
Halifax
James
Langwith
So it works out at about 12 people per college. All are great for different things so don't worry.
Alcuin can be quiet and isn't as sociable
Langwith (and Derwent) are good as they are pretty much in the middle of campus
James is near the sports centre and isn't too far
Halifax is a really close knit bunch of people as its houses not flats or blocks
Either way apply to them and see what you get.Drive. Passion. Spirit. Power.

Quote from the accomodation office a couple of days ago:
"There are places for a fixed number of HYMS students in Goodricke College."
Also:
"Goodricke College is being moved into a new building this will be part of the extension to campus at Heslington East on Field Lane, Heslington. This will be a 15 minute walk to the main campus and slightly less to the Medical School, I have attached the link to a campus map. The Old Goodricke College accommodation is being split between Vanbrugh, James and Wentworth Colleges. This would be to be confirmed"
And:
"Halifax College is about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the HYMS building. Our campus is not a big one, and even with the coming of new Goodricke it will still be possible to walk from one end to the other in about 30 - 40 minutes. "HYMS Class of 2014-Firm

i heard they are changing the application procedure this year, so apply to where you like the look of and see where you get in. it probably wont be your first choice anyway, but you will most likely love wherever you get put.

When do we apply?
Sorry about this, I'm away at the moment but when do we apply? I only have a conditional offer(firm) so am I meant to wait for my grades?
-

Munro is right. You'll get a letter, fill it in, send it back. It is that simple so stop worrying.
