grades
Can i just ask what everybody has got for their conditional offer. I have got to get AAB with the A in biology and including chemistry. But i have a friend has got an unconditional and they have specified to her what grades she has to get in any. So do they give people different offers? and has everyone else got the same as me? Thanks!!

Think positive guys! You never know

Last year I was convinced I got a B/C for my Bio A-level as I did it in a year doing evening classes at a college where the average grade was a C and I was pleasantly surprised with my A!
Sending positive vibes your way!HYMS (York) - Second year

Thanks natscat84.... its not like there is anything we can do now anyway. Was also wondering if we are supposed to have our own hep B jab course before we go or do they arrange it for us. The sheet about it we received along with site allocation didn't say...

I spoke to Julia when I got my offer and she said that HYMS would organise it when we got there if necessary.
You can go and ask your GP about getting it done and see what they say - mine wouldn't do it for me because he said the NHS wouldn't fund it until I'd actually gotten into medical school (said after I waved my unconditional offer under his nose!) but some people's will do it for them.HYMS (York) - Second year

Grades
I did the Irish Leaving Cert and have to get 5As and a B including Chemistry and Biology, although in the letter it seemed as though there still could be a place if our "results were not as we expected". I am still hoping to get 5As and a B, but if worse came to worst would I still have a chance? Thanks a million.

Im not sure NMMyork, you would have to ask admissions about that, Im sure that it would be a case by case basis. Just remember that all you can do now-is relax
And yes, lots of people are surprised by results-you ALWAYS think you did worse in an exam than you actually did-keep your heads up, and good luck! Looking forward to meeting you guys in september! (Nats Ill see you in a year, don't think you've gotten away just yet!
