Shahid, I'd ring admissions to check about your GCSE maths - you're allowed to have a B if you've done maths at a higher level (eg AS or A2 if you've done either), or if not, then they allow GCSE resits - so i'd find out sooner rather than later! The admission peopleare all lovely, and will guide you through what you need to do.

Thanks your input was rather helpful. I haven't done maths at A-level but I have done physics which is pretty much all maths anyway! One last query perhaps you can answer for me. Do you think HYMS will look more favourably on those candidates who have already achieved the necessary a-level grades?

I don't think any more favourably, look at how applications are scored on the above link.... but your offer will be an unconditional when you get one

Shahidredhot, IMO I think that universities like candidates who have the grades rather than those with predicted-and it also give you time to work on your interview technique and add lots of stuff to your application form to make you a stronger applicant
I was a second time applicant after getting AAB so losing my original offer, reapplied and got 3 unconditionals after sorting things out, so a reapplication is a very good choice. I would ring admissions to get any information you need, it's always good to get it official. Actually, try emailing, then you have written proof of it which is nice to check
Good luck!

hey i was wondering whether someone could tell me whether i could still apply for medicine if i dont end up with an A in chemistry. will they look at my gcse's or ukcat instead? or is an A grade in chemistry very important?
