If we start 28th sep, and york med ppl in the past have had to live in temporary accommodation for the first 2 weeks before moving to normal accomm when the rest of the uni arrives, then i guess hyms freshers starts 28th, so we'd be allowed to move into uni accommodation the weekend before the 28th?

Did that make sense? It only takes a couple of hours to get moved in and settled anyway. I think I'm most likely seeking private accommodation anyway as bringing the partner and the cat along for the ride

And loz - I had problems registering on the website and will need to call them up tomorrow xx

I'm guessing its the wknd before, I'm just going on what they did at newcastle when we moved into student accommodation, they gave international students a few days earlier to move in if they needed it, but then again, that was newcastle uni, not york. Just wait n see.

Gary coleman was the little guy in different strokes, he used to say "what u talking about?" and pull the face ur pulling, other than that u bare no resemblance to him.

I think Gizmo's from the same part of the UK that I am but we don't speak like how he writes. I think macca is just a friendly term for mate. xx

Lol i think a lot of ppl have major exams atm, and we're just bored and counting down the days (wat is it now? 4 months, 2 weeks?).
It'll get busy once we get campus allocation in early june.

I still can't apply for student finance and I rang the student finance people and they were not helpful. One woman said HYMS doesn't exist and she'd never heard of it and the man she transferred me to put me on hold for 10mins then disconnected me. So I'm mildly annoyed...
I give up. I think I'm just going to wait for campus allocation and try again then.
