Is it possible to choose either Hull or York?

Hi. Just got an offer from HYMS 09 and was wondering whether there was any way I could go to either Hull or York together with a friend of mine? Don't mind either, but is that possible even though we do not live in either city and plan to live in accomodation?

    thanks!

I would think not, but it wouldn't hurt to ask admissions to bear it in mind.
I shouldn't worry though, even if you both end up at opposite campuses, it's not far, and maybe even, not having your friend there will encourage you to mix and make plenty of new friends S x

As I said, it can't hurt to ask - I've never done it by public transport as I have a car, but I'll find out for you

There's a bus that's your best bet (its the X46 i think) that goes between york and hull, picking up and dropping off v close to both uni's. Takes about 2 hours i believe due to all the stops.

I really doubt they'll make an exception, but it won't hurt to ask!

The campuses in Hull and York both have their good and bad bits....
The campus in York has some beautiful parks and gardens, but also has lakes filled with student trash... it also has some lovely buildings - and some not so lovely ones!
The Hull campus has some great architecture, and the west campus where the HYMS building is has recvently undergone a massive regeneration, so is looking really swish now! There are also lots of green bits in the Hull campus.... This said, there are some ugly bits also - like the library!
