Has anyone put HYMS as their 1st Choice
Hi
I have put HYMS as my first choice and Southampton as my insurance. I got my offer on the 2nd of feb and firmed up last week and I have received conformation letter from ucas, but I’ve still not received a conformation letter from the HYMS or any letter since my interview letter. Has anyone else put HYMS as their first choice and has anyone received a letter?
I'm really excited about September!!
Cheers

Hey,
I've put HYMS as my first choice and have withdrawn from all my other options. Apart from the letter offering me the place i haven't heard anything! I'm really looking forward to september too. Since getting my january results i'm only left doing one A-level and i already have a B in that (just got to get it up to an A) so i'm rather bored now and wishing the weeks away!!!!!! Hope to see you all in september Lots of love Jen x x xmwah x x x

Hi,
I'm going to put HYMS as my firm choice with Newcastle as insurance but just waiting for ucas to send the letter to make my decision. I recieved a letter form HYMS about the offer but haven't got the confermation letter from ucas. its just on track. So excited about doing medicine and HYMS but just have the small matter of finals and getting a 2:1 first !

How did you work that one out? But yes i am! I thought i'd confuse peep with different names on different forums but theses wannabe drs are too clever. Actually bettyboop with detective skills like that your talents could be wasted on medicine! Glad you went for hyms. Had a bit of a painic yesterday bout hyms vs newcastle as there the same offer (2:1) but went down the list of all the points like course, location etc and hyms came out top in all for me so i think ill take that as a sign and go for hyms. Totally off topic but just wondering jonesy if you had an interview on dec 17th at york as i think i might be the random girl who approched waiting for the bus at york station but then we were in different interview groups.

I accepted HYMS as my first choice and withdrew from other offers (apart from UEA, who rejected me after interview).
There have been occassional references to the DREEM survey, saying that HYMS students are the happiest of all Med School students. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of this?
PS - I can't wait!!!!!
