    I have offers for medicine at Manchester and Newcastle-upon-tyne in the uk. Does anyone know which of these 2 uni has a better reputation in the US and Canada as I intend to work there later

    why is that unimaginable? They're just harder to enter, you wont neccessarily become a "better" doctor if you study at "high-rank" unis like Harvard/Yale/Cambridge/Oxford/Imperial/UCL etc etc...
    It all depends on how hard you work and what you achieve in the end, not where you enter.
