Am I the only one with the necessary academic criteria asked for by Newcastle and a UKCAT above 700 waiting for an interview ? - this will really help me

At the open day they said these were the only two main things they took into account to short list for interview (and for the others their PSs). Any advice would be appreciated. (Sorry if I'm irritating anyone)

--

I know three people who have been called for interviews, with UKCATs of 753, 647 and 650 (not sure about the last one) already. Does anyone know if they're ranking the applicants in terms of their UKCAT scores like Newcastle is?

Hey, so when you called Kings did you basically ask if they had got your application, what was happening etc? And is the letter that is on its way an acknowledgement or interview letter?

basically there was a breakdown in them posting the confirmation letters. Everyone who has applied should have received one in the first couple of weeks after October 15th. However, due to a fault in their system not all were sent out. My friend had the same problem (not receiving her letter) and called last week. They confirmed they were having troubles printing the letters...

So if you haven't received anything it's not bad news...

mbe: good luck in the rest of them then! i'm from canada

CrazyMiner: the admissions staff told me they have received my application and the confirmation letter (to acknowledge that application has been received) is on its way (sorry for the confusion there) since it may take longer to send letters overseas

p.s. did any international applicants receive interview offers yet? from what I read, most offers seemed to be for applicants from UK locally...

Not that I know of....I wonder how many interviews they give out to internationals? One thing I have always wanted to know is do they compare us with each other when first deciding to give out interviews or with home students? This might be a stupid question but someone please answer it x

I applied, from Canada, I got my acknowledged letter last week. Does anyone know how they inform international students of interviews? And how much notice they give?
