secondly, i'd definately recomend knowing your personal statement like the back of your hand. also, some good advice i got last year was to read the latest popular science journals out there, paying close attention to the medical sections ofcourse. dress smartly, and remember they dont expect you to know everything a doctor should already, so dont worry. you've done well to get this far so answer the q's as best you can and be confident

jus outta curiosity, is it normal procedure to get interviews from kings this early for internal students? ...lol! i just read the question back and it sounds like i'm implying something bad..or something, but i'm not at all...oh you guys know what i mean

goodluck

and wow, the video thing sounds like a great idea.
Hey, thanks or the advice everybody - its really welcomed and appreciated so many many thanks once again.
And to anwer your question Okora, i guess that this is normal procedure - interviewing internal applicants before the rest. I suppose they are giving interns a slight advantage - i hope that they want to give us a place rather than get rid of us at this early stage!

Iv calmed own (slightly!) from yesterday and feeling determined and rather excited now! Im just gonna go in there, be confident, be myself and get that place. Its got my name on it!.. at least that's what im tellin myself anyway!

Best of luck to you all

as other people has said be yourself, make sure you know your personal statement and do a bit of reading around.

To Okora they interview the internal students first as I had mine last year at the same time. I don't know why but I think they want to compare the internal batch to the rest of the applicants.

Supraspinatous: if you be yourself you will be okay. I was exactly like you last year I saw my interview as a time to tell them that I am the right candidate and to claim my place. Although it is good to be confident don't be over confident as this can come off as cocky. Good luck with the interview, you should be okay! Hopefully you will hear sooner than we did last year whether you're in or not compared to us who had to wait 6 weeks even though they told us 3 and ucas applicants who had interviews after us had received offers.

Thanks Frodo....
Im not the arrogant, over-confident type anyway so there's no danger of me coming across as cocky! Im just gonna be polite and confident in my own ability - not in an arrogant way, but a way in which i can sell myself.
Do you remember what you was asked at interview? Im just a bit nervous about being asked some off-the-cuff random question and being caught like a rabbit in headlights.
And with regards to topical health news - would you advise picking one or two topics in depth? Iv got 1 in mind!
Thanks again
