When I asked them a while back whether they have a particular order for prosessing applications, they said no. Right now I don't know what to think. It's been so long that there's no way they haven't taken a single look at our applications. Unless they're VERY slow. Doubt it. Also, I was contacted in November for more information and still haven't heard anything. I thought then that I was next up in line to hear yes interview or no thanks.
I emailed them yesterday (admissions phone had an automated message saying office is closed). I had to email them as I was feeling utterly powerless, a feeling I hate. I simply asked whether having heard nothing indicates I'm still in the running to potentially receive an interview invite. They haven't answered and I don't expect them to actually with all the rush... Frustrating.SGUL GEP 2011 (firm)

Kings are quite slow with their emails. A few days behind at least-which is not surprising I guess. I tried phoning the same day and got the same message. They are open today though. Try giving them a ring. The silence doesn't necessarily mean a rejection. Just try to keep yourself occupied and the time will pass quicker. When they'll get to your application they’ll let you know.

Received an answer today actually: "Thank you for your email. The assessment and interview process for our medicine programme runs between November and April, there is a possibility that you will not hear from us until April. In the meantime all that we can suggest is that you keep checking your UCAS Track and emails."
So haha, got nowhere new, but I was expecting that anyway. But at least I feel now like I've done something. Will give them a ring again if I don't hear within a month...SGUL GEP 2011 (firm)

Hate to put a downer on things, but I was in the same boat as you lot, waiting around thinking i'd made it past November screening and waiting for an interview; and I got slammed in the bin at half 9 last night! I don't think i ever received a proper acknowledgment from them to be honest, so i'm not overly surprised. Little bit random being canned now though.

Hmmm, that sucks js-g! I'm really sorry to hear that. Guess I may be in the same boat anytime between now and April. Track still shows no change for me. Anyway, it sucks to have people waiting for months and then suddenly rejecting them... Guess we're still in the undecided-group.
What do you mean by proper acknowledgement btw?SGUL GEP 2011 (firm)

Having looked through all my files and my inbox folders, I can't even find an acknowledgment email or letter! and without proper open days for medicine I feel King's has kept me in the dark though the whole thing, unlike every other uni to which I applied! In this way it doesn't suprise me I got a randoly rejected on a Friday evening!

Nabbe, you’re quite lucky they replied that quickly
I've been trying to sort out proof for a learning disability, and found that they tend to be very slow to reply to emails- took over a week for one reply. But I suppose that they are busy. The fact I had no time to phone during work hours didn’t help!
Js-g I never received confirmation from Kings either. Apparently they did send them all out, and it must have ended up in our junk folders. They should hopefully send you a letter soon. From what I remember last year, Universities always respond to you on track first and then write an letter. You could always ask them for feedback though.
Good luck for your other choices

Hi Nabbe
It’s all sorted thankfully. XD
It was such a pointless and long mission (just over a month). All the other Uni’s accepted my Psychologist’s report. However, Kings wanted a GP letter stating what was already written on the report, with a recent date to prove I was still dyslexic - as if a GP would know! Besides I don’t actually think it’s something you grow out of!!! My GP found their request rather useless and hilarious. Sorry for the rant. :S It’s just annoying that it held up my application for so long! *sigh* just a few more months to go though
