what's going on?
hey everyone, I was wondering what's going on with KCL. thought they'd interview everyone before giving out offers, but i read someone got an offer as early as november. now, i haven't been called for interview nor rejcted yet, and i thought i had a quite good ukcat score. what i am supposed to think? shall i still apply the no-news-good-news policy? i've applied for the 5yr course (a100)

From what I understand, if they really like you at interview then they give you an offer pretty quickly. Those that don't get an immediate offer are placed onto a waiting list, which is ordered by a score (given to you based on your interview performance). Once all of the interviews are completed, they go through the waiting list and dish out the remaining available offers to those with the highest scores.
So at the moment I think it is still no news is good news, as they continue interviewing through until about April, and you only get about 2 weeks notice

they have 3-4000 applicants to go through and its natural that they give out offers as they go along, they give out 4-500 offers for 300 something places each year so they have a few to play with. If you don't make the first cut after interview they put you on the waiting list and depending on how many have taken up their offers they make a second cut. I was on waiting list and got in.

You hear from the Interview 2-3 weeks later, regardless of when you are interviewed. I don't think there is a particular order in terms of interviews, or at least it doesn't seem that way, other than perhaps the very best students at the beginning.
