Waiting list anyone?!

hey all

had an interview back in November and heard by Dec. that i was on the waiting list and wont know till April.
Just wondering how many others are on waiting lis and what are our chances??

I heard that some got in through clearing last year on the waiting list, this true??

Howdy. Me too.

And i dont know about that, normally there are no med places on clearing because its so over-subscribed they never need to, and clearing is an "official" ucas thing after the normal cycle, wheras the kings list is their own internal system :S

yeah i know thats what i thought. but looking back through posts last year, some people got into Kings through clearing. this is after they were on the waiting list and got rejected.

I thought the same and that medicine is practically impossible to get into through clearing, it must be extremely rare. but by the looks of it and speaking to my friend who is a first year medic at kings, there are quite a few who got in. :S :S

^^most of them would have been internationals, or people who just missed there grades, but kings let em in anyway.

i am on the waiting list too

whether or not we are likely to get an offer all depends on which waiting list we are on...there are two

if we are on the first one then the chances are good but if we are on the second one, its not so likely

if only they told us which one we were on.....

does which list youre on depend on when you had your interview??
ie if u had an early interview, ur on the first or what??
