Transfer to Kings College
This message is on behalf of a classmate of mine, please kindly advise as best as possibe:
Hi there, would be interested to find out more information for assistance to transfer to Kings College from a medical University in Midlands.
This transfer is intended for the clinical phase i.e. I would have finished all basic sciences and done the equivalent to a "part 1" exam i.e. the exam you sit before they let you loose in the hospitals for full time clinical rotation, so i would have sat that exam at my uni. I do have reasonable extenuating circumstances to warrant individual analysis of my situation, i.e. the only place partner can work is in London sort of niche trade job, but we split mortgage bla bla bla.. etc.
Is this possible?
Who do i chat to?
If the info is sensitive, please kindly pm me.
Many thanks."..what matters is not how you fall, but how you pick yourself up.."

Hmmm, I don't think Standring is in Admissions...
As far as I know (actually from Standring herself, when she was in Medical Admissions) that King's aren't all that keen on transfers, mind you this was in the context of students transferring from Prague. I assume it will be the same situation. However, King's do accept external students for their Intercalated year. In my final year we had two students from Sheffield, three from St Georges and one from Barts.
By all means get your friend to call admissions, I am sure they are the right people to talk to about this kind of thing
