I think you might need a password to get onto our virtual campus which has the timetable on http://gktvc1.kcl.ac.uk/vc/medical/y...timetables.htm
so that was probably no use for you.
The timetable changes everyweek with no set amount of time, but this week which is phase 2 which is slightly different than phase 1 as now our weeks lectures are based around a topic like heart failure. any way this week:
    Mon, 11am-1pm, 2 lectures
Tue, 11am-4pm, 4 lectures, (1 hr for lunch)
    Wed, 9am-11am, 2 lectures
Thu, 1pm-3pm, ethics stuff on loss
    Fri, 11.30am-1.30pm, dissection.
The lectures this week were mainly based around GIT bleeding, like we had anatomy lectures on the abdomen and thats what we did in dissection. Normally there would be a workshop or a tutorial shoved in somewhere here as well and a few practicals and the occasional GP or hospital visit. Thursday and friday to be truthful had less on than most weeks but on the other hand we sometimes have wednesdays compelty off and we always have the afternoon off.
In phase 1 i think we seemed to have a bit more work with a few more lectures (108 lectures last term so we must have had a few more a week than this week) and we seemed to have more tutorials as well last term. There were a few 9-4 days last year so the weeks and days do vary quite a lot.
Hoped this helped, as said this week did seem to have more free time than normal as noramlly there is a workshop or tutorial somewhere as well.

    Hi
The timetable is all over the place, no fixed hours per day or week and it drives me nuts. However, I do have a p/t job for about 8 hours per week that I manage to fit in on weekdays. Of course you can always work on Weds pm (set aside for sports) and the weekend or evenings. In the autumn term we had a lot of 9am starts, which stopped me doing my previous job (security at concerts), but if you were younger and less tired than me you could probably cope. Since Jan we have had less 9am starts, but I've managed to get a new job for the daytime, so it'e been less of an issue.
Quite a few people work a full day on Saturdays to give them enough time to work in the week, but on the rare occaisions when I've been out on Friday nights they always seem so miserable about having to get up the next morning! (poor souls, try having a 4 year old who gets up at 6.30am 7 days a week!)
Hope this helps, but good luck Mark with the GEP interview. I do know some GEP students who manage p/t work, but they tend to be biochem or dentists who don't have to work so hard on the course in the first place,

We have a GP placement (4 visits to the same gp) and 2 hospital visits to interview patients. We also have sessions on communications where we interview actors. That's about it for the first year.

Hey thanks for the guidance. With a current 10-12 hr day in my job now, the thought of two or three hours a day of lectures is odd. I mean, I know there is study to be done as well as lectures, but I might even be able to have a social life, too. Ooh, I remember having one of those once.

    Cheers
