sorry to hear that harpy i no exactly how u feel; felt the same way wen i got rejected from bsms. Hav u had ne interviews from other unis? quite a lot of the uni's interview well into march so of u havent had ne interviews then uv got plenty of time! a whole two and a half months.

i got rejected from kings today too without interview ! ahh well i was expecting it anyways..life goes on..

I think its cos kcl was my last choice anyways.

they said that they dont give feedback to individual applicants...which sucks. I WANNA KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! I WILL KNOW. i do plan to find out. hehe

I think kings look highly upon GCSE grades.....all the people i kno that have interviews there have at least 7A*s.....i wasnt really expecting anything from there..kinda wish i hadnt applied there now....But good luck in all your other choices people!

I HAVE NOW BEEN REJECTED FROM 3/4 OF THE MEDICAL SCHOOLS I APPLIED TO. THE 4TH IS NOTTINGHAM AND THEY HAVE ALREADY STARTED INTERVIEWS AND SOME HAVE BEEN MADE OFFERS. DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW! DO YOU KNOW IF THERE IS ANY COURSE I CAN STUDY FOR ONE YEAR ONLY WHICH WILL HELP ME GET IN TO MEDICAL SCHOOL FOR 2007?? ALSO I ONLY GAINED 3As AND 7Bs AT GCSE.....DOES THIS MEAN I WILL NEVER GET INTO MEDICAL SCHOOL??

Sorry to hear about your rejections, but you do still have one uni to go, and it only takes one offer to become a Dr! Theres a couple of access courses which allow you to transfer to a med school one of them being Bradfords Clinical Sciences course, and after completing a year you have a chance to transfer to Leeds med school after a year, for more info click this link. http://www.brad.ac.uk/acad/clinsci/

Have you done much work experience? When I was worrying I'd have to reapply, I was advised to do more voluntary work in a local hospital during my year off, this would add to your personal statement and make you look committed to what you want to do.
The impression I get from medical schools is that in general your Alevels count more than your gsce results but this may differ between places.
Have you a 4th AS level? I know when I started 6th form I was advised to take more "traditional" subjects for medicine like history, german, religious studies as opposed to sociology, pyschology etc etc. I don't know if this has any impact what so ever on getting into medical school or if it was just my college being over careful.
I hope you get in eventually.
