I'm currently in 1st year biochemistry (BSc Hons) at Glasgow Uni and am applying to swap courses to medicine this year (I would be going into 1st year in September)- I have previously applied to medicine as a school leaver but was rejected so took up my offer from Glasgow and decided to work towards studying medicine as a postgrad. I'd like to know if anyone has had experience of this process and their opinions of it (I've been well advised that it's not a common way of getting into medicine). I am also contemplating applying to other Scottish unis for medicine via UCAS this autumn but as I am currently greatly enjoying studying at Glasgow I am wondering whether or not to stay in the course I am on now and apply for medicine as a postgrad.
Any opinions or helpful tips are greatly appreciated.
