Do you want to spend five years in a grey city with no union and a terrible night life with lectures all week?
Glasgow!
EDIT: I prioritised mine on the basis that ultimately no matter where i go im going to get a Medical degree, and people dont really care what medical school you went to post graduation, but they do care about the grades you get in post-grad exams.
On that basis i disregarded the league tables, and went on course type - PBL means little lectures
and ultimately i was choosing where i was going to live for at least the next 5 years - Glasgow had the best of everything (and the worst too, but then again, having the highest rates of stroke means we're the most specialised place for cardiology in western europe - a plus)Last edited by Rex The Red; 21-03-2010 at 08:56 PM.

From this guy's linked article, re performance on MRCP exams; "and the performance of Liverpool, Dundee, Belfast and Aberdeen graduates was significantly worse than average"
QED?
Glasgow's PBL course will give you the neccessary skills to go off in your own time and study. It could be done better, but then again we're still in the fifth best* med school in the UK, so whatever it is we're doing, we're doing it gooood.
Seriously, Glasgow is such an amazing place to live
